2 UNILAG Students To Represent Nig. At Chinese Language Competition In Beijing
Hànyu Shuipíng Kaoshì (HSK) Examination which was just concluded saw
Two students of the Confucius Institute, University of Lagos, UNILAG
emerging as the best candidates.
The students, Grace Moses Anyaele and Fadairo Opeyemi Yusuf hence qualified to represent Nigeria at the next language Bridge Competition slated for Beijing, China in July, 2013.
The HSK Examination translated as Chinese Proficiency Test is the only Chinese Language Proficiency test for non-native speakers including foreign students
This latest victory is further evidence that the Institute is well-positioned to promote the teaching and learning of Chinese Language and culture in Nigeria.
Only recently, the Institute was approached by the Lagos State Government to undertake a pilot teaching of Chinese Language in five of its Model Secondary Schools. The Institute is also currently in discussion with Addax Petroleum to teach Chinese Language to its members of staff across Nigeria.
