Jay-Z: Magna Carta Holy Grail Tracklisting Revealed, Album Will Feature Nirvana

Jay-Z has revealed the tracklist for his upcoming album Magna Carta Holy Grail and in keeping with his #NewRules movement  via our Twitter.

Jay-s head of publicity Jana Fleishman tweeted out photos of certain Brooklyn locales and the smart fans who were able to figure the clues out and get there received a book with the tracklisting which they then shared with the world.

And Kurt Cobain’s widow Courtney Love revealed that she gave Jay-Z permission to use lyrics from Nirvana’s Smells Like Teen Spirit.

“I’m letting Jay-Z use lyrics – Francis would freak [if she knew this.] Jay-Z’s huge and we’re friends. I mean we’re not besties or anything….” she explained in a recent interview.


“They [used it] without asking, which is kind of nervy but the business side has been taken care of so it’s fine.”

Jay in partnership with Samsung is giving away 1 million copies of MCHG to Samsung Galaxy owners but Billboard says those numbers won’t count towards official sales figures. I’m sure that $5 million Jay pocketed from that deal will soothe his soul.
