Though private universities in Nigeria are expensive but still highly patronized.
The most expensive university among all is American University of Nigeria (AUN) located in Yola. their school fees range from 590,000 to N2million.
Follow by Babcock University, Ilisan-Remo, in Ogun state which have its fee  from  
N500,000 to N2million.

Below are the list of top ten most expensive private universities accordingly.


American University of Nigeria
American University of Nigeria (AUN) is the first Nigerian university to be established with an American structure and curriculum. AUN opened its doors to its first students in 2005. Founded by the former Vice President of Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, it is located in North Eastern Nigeria, Yola, capital of Adamawa State. Originally named the Abti-American University of Nigeria. 
School fee ranges from 590,000 to N2million.
Babcock University
Babcock University is a private Christian co-educational university owned and operated by the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Nigeria. It was named after an American missionary David C. Babcock who pioneered the work of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in 1914. The university was established as the Adventist College of West Africa (ACWA) in 1959.
At inception with seven students in 1975, it changed to Adventist Seminary of West Africa (ASWA). The university was officially inaugurated on April 20, 1999. 
Their school fee ranges from N500,000 to N2million. 
 In Babcock University, your meal and hostel defines your fee. There is two and three daily meal regime and for accommodation, there are three to seven students in a room.
Mass Communication students --- 631,000

                                                  Medicine  ----- up to N2million. 
But with the choice of your hostel and number of meals per day, the fee can be reduced. They recently won the best private university in Africa.
Bowen University

Bowen University is owned and operated by the Nigerian Baptist Convention. It is located at Iwo in Osun State and opened on November 4, 2002. The university is named in honour of Rev. Thomas Jefferson Bowen, the first American Baptist missionary from the Southern Baptist Convention. School fee ranges from 
N500,000 to N700,000. 
100 level pays the highest, 200 and 300 level, the same fee, 400 level pays separately because of final year ceremonies. You buy your food from the cafeteria. The university is not responsible for feeding.


Ajayi Crowther University
Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo was established by the Supra Diocesan Board (West) of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), and has its origin in the defunct Christian Missionary society, CMS training institution, Abeokuta and the defunct St. Andrew College, Oyo.
Ajayi Crowther University (ACU) was granted license to operate as a private university in Nigeria on January 7, 2005. The university is named after the late Samuel Ajayi Crowther, the first African bishop who first translated the Bible into Yoruba. Their school fees range from 
N500,000 to N550,000.
In Ajayi Crowther University, the faculty determines the fee you pay and faculty of Natural Science pays the highest due to the equipment in the laboratory. Students buy food form their allowance.

Redeemer’s University

Redeemer’s University located in Redemption City, Ogun State, Nigeria. Established in 2005, the university is owned by the Redeemed Christian Church of God. School fees range from N500,000 to N650,000. Natural Sciences pay N605,000, Management Science, N575,000 and Humanities, N545,000.
Covenant University
Covenant University is located in Ota, Ogun State. It is a private Christian University established in 2002 by Bishop David Oyedepo (Winners Chapel).
School fees range from N432,000 to N600,000. Students are allocated into hostels according to their departments and hostels are named after personalities in the Bible.
Caleb University
Caleb University owned by Prince Oladega, located in Imota, Lagos State. It was founded in May 2004. The federal government granted probational operational license for it to operate as a private university. The school started full academic programmes with admission on Monday, January 7, 2008. School fees range from N505,000 to N555,000.
Only 100 level students pay highest fee but 200 level to 400 level pay the same amount.
Igbinedion University
Igbinedion University is at Okada, Benin City, Edo State. It was founded by Sir Gabriel Osawuru Igbinedion, a millionaire philanthropist and community leader in 1999. Their school fee ranges from N514,000 to N634,000.
Joseph Ayo Babalola University
The Joseph Ayo Babalola University is in Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun Tate. It was established by the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) worldwide. The university is named after the first spiritual leader of the church, Joseph Ayo Babalola. The school fees range from N397,000 to N436,000.

Crawford University
Crawford University is a private Christian institution in Igbesa Nigeria. Owned by the Apostolic Faith Mission, it was established in 2005 by Paul Akazue. The school fees range from N400,000 to N600,000.
