Bryant Doubtful Of Season Opener Due To Injury
“It’s getting stronger and stronger every day which is all we can ask for at this point, the obstacle now is just the recovery of it so I can push it a lot harder,” Bryant said of his repaired Achilles tendon.
The Lakers star was in Dubai this week attending a Health and Fitness expo named in his honour where he gave a youth basketball clinic to students. Bryant also met with the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) where he was given a licence that will enable him to operate a business in Dubai.
“It’s a great opportunity, some of the things that I believe in throughout my NBA career I would love to carry over into the business realm,” Bryant said after attending the DMCC conference.
The 35-year-old Bryant is approaching his 18th season in the NBA after being drafted out of high school in 1996 and it is unknown how long Bryant plans to continue playing in the NBA.
Bryant is under contract to the Lakers for the upcoming 2013-14 season in which he will earn at least $30 million and will then become an unrestricted free agent, able to sign with any team.
