‘My Husband Treats Me Like A Housemaid’ -Wife Asks Court To Dissolve Marriage

A 29-year-old house-wife, Rukayat Mohammed, Monday, urged an Ilorin Area Court to dissolve her three-year-old marriage to Gani because the husband treated her like a housemaid.

Rukayat who resides in Sango Area, of the state, told the court that her husband, Gani did not respect and honor her as a wife.

She also told the court that her husband was fond of maltreating her and does not have regard for me as his wife.

The husband Gani who said he was still interested in the marriage, objected to the prayer of his wife.

The case The presiding judge, Mr. Yusuf Abdulkareem, adjourned the case till November 5 for a report of settlement. ==== Source
