UNCOVERED: 3,383 Unqualified Teachers In Kaduna

 

Out of the 8, 788 secondary school teachers in Kaduna State, only 5, 405 are qualified while the remaining 3, 383 teachers are not qualified to teach, investigation by the Kaduna State House of Assembly has revealed.
The chairman, House Committee on Education, Alhaji Umaru Yunusa Muhammad made the disclosure yesterday while presenting a report of his committee on the desirability of establishing campuses of the state college of education in parts of the state on the floor of the House.
The report further revealed that 527 secondary schools in the state are inadequate to accommodate the 289, 182 students’ population in the hands of both qualified and non-qualified teachers.
